Brendon Bevan
An upbringing in the African bush bred an instinctive love and understanding of nature in Brendon, which he has brought to Australia. As General Manager at Arkaba for 10 years, Brendon was the driving force behind Arkaba’s transition from sheep station to conservancy, where he introduced the programs to control feral species and brought in scientific support to measure the landscape health. Brendon ‘s role in developing an Australian field guide training program by which guides can genuinely connect guests to the intricacies of the bush reflects his understanding of the importance that education plays in conservation. Amongst other roles in South Australia, Brendon chaired the Far North NRM board, ran the Arid Lands Botanic Garden in Port Augusta and is currently the general manager at Baird Bay on the Eyre Peninsula.
