Projects
Western Quolls were reintroduced to Wilpena Pound in 2014 after being extinct in the region for over 100 years. With control of feral species, in particular foxes, feral cats and rabbits, this projects seeks to re-establish a sustainable population of quolls across Arkaba.
Natural springs are a key indicator of a healthy environment. We monitor 17 springs across Arkaba to measure their health as part of our broader rewilding journey

Monitoring Ecosystem Health
This project is an ongoing measurement of the recovery of the ecosystem at Arkaba following the removal of sheep and the ongoing management of goats in the landscape. It focuses on surveys of vegetation communities and springs.

This (planned) project will establish two vegetation exclusion zones on Arkaba to demonstrate and better understand the impact of kangaroos on native vegetation communities.
