Charlie Carlow
Charlie derived much of his love of nature and a desire to look after it from time spent in Africa in earlier years. After a corporate life with the Swire Group in Asia and Africa, he set up nature-based tourism businesses, Wilderness Australia and Wild Bush Luxury, showing Australia’s most spectacular landscapes and their natural secrets to visitors. His belief that tourism has a significant role to play in the conservation of Australia’s natural heritage manifested itself in the transition of Arkaba Station to a wildlife conservancy, where guests come to be inspired by the flora and fauna of the Flinders Ranges.
