Penny Rafferty

Penny’s background includes roles in the wine and tourism industry in Africa and Australia.  Over the past 15 years, as Executive Officer and now Chair of Luxury Lodges of Australia, she has been the force behind one of the great tourism marketing success stories in Australia.  She has embedded purpose and sustainability into the DNA and storytelling of Luxury Lodges of Australia. She was head of sustainability at Tourism Australia from 2020 to 2024.  She currently sits on the board of Tourism Tasmania, is a mentor for the Conscious Travel Foundation and has served on Virtuoso's Sustainability Council
